Ingredients
Serves: 6Apple Coleslaw with Tartar Sauce
- 1 half Red or Green Apple (cut into matchsticks)
- 1 whole Carrot (grated or cut into matchsticks)
- 1 whole Onion (halved and finely sliced)
- 1 quarter White Cabbage (finely sliced)
Tartar Sauce
- 5 whole Cornichons (finely diced)
- 1 tbsp Capers (finely diced)
- 5 tbsp Mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp Vinegar
- 2 tsp Sugar
- 1 pinch Salt
Method
Apple Coleslaw with Tartar Sauce
Chop the cabbage , apple and onion into thin strips
Then grate the carrot on the widest grate
Add all of the vegetables into the bowl with the tartar sauce (see recipe below) and give it a good mix

Back to mainFinely chop the cornichons and capers
In a bowl add the mayo, vinegar, salt ,sugar and a splash of the cornichon brine and mix well
Finally add the cornichons and capers and mix again
