Ingredients

  • 100g Porridge Oats
  • 100g Ground Almonds
  • 250g Smooth peanut butter
  • 84g Maple syrup
  • 14g Vanilla extract
  • 100g Dark chocolate
  • 100g Milk or Dark, or both chocolate
  • 100g Peanuts or strawberries (or mix of both)
Method
  • In a bowl mix together the porridge oats, ground almonds with a pinch of salt

  • In the same bowl add maple syrup and vanilla extract and mix

  • Add the smooth peanut butter and mix until fully combined, this may take a few minutes

  • Put into a lined baking dish that is 15cm x 8cm (or close to it) and put in the fridge

  • While this is in the fridge melt the chocolate in a bowl over boiling water or in the microwave, once melted add one tablespoon of peanut butter

  • Take the base out of the fridge and pour the chocolate over and spread out evenly

  • Sprinkle over the peanuts and/or strawberries and leave in the fridge for up to one hour

  • Remove from fridge and cut into 16 bars

  • This can be stored in the fridge for up to 1 week
