Ingredients
Serves: 16- 100g Porridge Oats
- 100g Ground Almonds
- 250g Smooth peanut butter
- 84g Maple syrup
- 14g Vanilla extract
- 100g Dark chocolate
- 100g Milk or Dark, or both chocolate
- 100g Peanuts or strawberries (or mix of both)
Method
In a bowl mix together the porridge oats, ground almonds with a pinch of salt
In the same bowl add maple syrup and vanilla extract and mix
Add the smooth peanut butter and mix until fully combined, this may take a few minutes
Put into a lined baking dish that is 15cm x 8cm (or close to it) and put in the fridge
While this is in the fridge melt the chocolate in a bowl over boiling water or in the microwave, once melted add one tablespoon of peanut butter
Take the base out of the fridge and pour the chocolate over and spread out evenly
Sprinkle over the peanuts and/or strawberries and leave in the fridge for up to one hour
Remove from fridge and cut into 16 bars
This can be stored in the fridge for up to 1 week
